Planting Lemons from Seeds
After removing the seeds from the lemon, wash them thoroughly and then soak them in lukewarm water for a day or two. They can then be sown in small pots with sandy planting medium. Seeds stored in a warm and humid place will germinate unevenly.
The plants that have sprouted after a few weeks and have stable stems are transplanted one by one into small pots, for which you should use ordinary potting soil without sand. However, it is recommended to use deep palm pots for this, as this will give the long taproots of the lemon enough space in the pot.
Depending on their development, the plants obtained from seeds can be grafted at the age of 1-2 years or grafted under the bark. However, it is important to have a good grafting shoot or eye for this operation, and also that the plant is in its developmental stage.
